Mark your calendars! You are cordially invited to attend the second annual Science Communication Symposium, hosted by Indiana University’s own ScIU blog. This event is for interested graduate and undergraduate students, professors, staff, and members of the public and will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 in the Whittenberger Auditorium at the Indiana Memorial Union on the Indiana University Bloomington campus.
This year’s symposium will include a keynote lecture from Ivan Oransky, M.D., a founder of Retraction Watch, the Vice President of Medscape, a Distinguished Writer in Residence at New York University’s Carter Journalism Institute, and the President of the Association of Health Care Journalists; and a panel discussion on science communication, featuring local experts from Indiana University and the greater Bloomington community.
Please forward this e-mail to any student and/or colleagues who may be interested in attending this event. Thank you, and feel free to contact Lana Ruck (lruck@iu.edu) or ScIU (sciucomm@indiana.edu) if you have any questions!
