David C. Skomp, a 1965 graduate of the Department of Anthropology, generously endowed the department with funds to support graduate students in the department. Some of these funds provide aid to the Student Travel Awards that support students who present papers and posters at conferences. Departments may nominate up to three students for these awards.

You can apply for Student Travel Awards of $100 – $300 through the Graduate Division Office of the College of Arts and Sciences (COLL). To apply for funds, you must complete an online Graduate Student Travel Support Application. Those applicants who do not receive College awards may receive department awards, depending on the availability of funds.
