I am primarily interested in an intersection between language and media ideologies and how they have changed in dynamic digital society. I am also interested in how such ideologies reflects in one’s body, moral value, and political imagination. I am proposing a research project on language and media environment in Sweden’s “vulnerable area” (utsatt område) where people seem to have ambivalent ideologies toward Swedish language. I have ethnographic fieldwork experience in Singapore and Thailand where I worked with media production companies. I speak German, Mandarin Chinese, Swedish, Thai, and Vietnamese. I understand Lao, Norwegian and Singlish.
