Dr. Wesley Thomas is a Navajo cultural anthropologist. He has years of experience teaching at colleges/universities with focus on decolonization of curricula at Indigenous higher educational institutions. Usage of local Indigenous language and cultural practices are essential in working on disengaging from colonial-settlers’ imperialism, acculturation and assimilation approaches and policies.
