Mirshad Ghalip AKA Alifu Mierxiati is a Ph.D. student of linguistic anthropology. He works on the Uyghur language, which is primarily spoken in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region/East Turkistan in China and some parts of Central Asia. His research interest is language attitude and language maintenance habits of the Uyghur diaspora communities around the world.
