Thinking photo-ethnography: Approaches to the still image

Photography has been a part of ethnography from the very beginning of the practice. But few ethnographers are comfortable thinking of themselves as photographers. In this informal presentation of a range of photo-based projects, we will explore what it means for the planning, production, and post-production of ethnography to privilege the photographic and to think like a photographer.
