Charity has earned her MA in Anthropology and her MS in Anatomy. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Anthropology. She is an Assistant Instructor for undergraduate Basic Human Anatomy and has also taught Introduction to Bioanthropology and Laboratory in Bioanthropology. Her research focuses on the paleopathology of diabetes, studying how diabetes affects the skeleton and how it should look in archaeological context. Charity works with modern and archeological skeletal samples from North America. Her other research interests include bioarchaeology, human variation, and pedagogy.
