About Clara Steussy

Clara ("Cally") works at the Heart Mountain WWII Japanese American incarceration site in Wyoming, investigating how material culture can shed light on the relationship between a forcibly relocated people and their new landscape for her dissertation. She has broader interests in Japan, Japanese archaeology, human-landscape relations, and prehistoric archaeology, as well as folklore and storytelling traditions. She is also very interested in curation and museum studies.
